I’ve gotten quite a few requests, at recent shows, for a carry-on type leather bag.
Folks want to pack a couple days worth of gear and travel.
As a result, I’ve recently designed and started making my “Stage” Carry-On.
It’s not quite a duffle – more like a messenger bag on steroids.
Made from a beautiful Horween Chromexcel cowhide, this bag has a thick, sturdy, double cowhide bottom, for extra durability.
All seams are double-stitched, with the inside top panel corners secured with hand-peened copper rivets.
The top flap is sewn and also attached with copper rivets.
There are two inside-end sleeve pockets.
This bag is lined with black waxed canvas, and also has a waxed canvas top flap, that will cover your packed items.
Bridle leather straps secure the bag's flap to two solid brass buckles.
Attached to the bag, are two 1" bridle leather carry straps, with removable strap wrap.
An interior cross-bag strap attaches to two solid brass D-rings; allowing you to connect and support the two bag ends.
Also included is a 1.25” bridle leather carry strap and shoulder pad, which attach to the bag’s two end D-rings, with solid brass trigger snaps.
Approximate Dimensions: 19” L x 11” T x 10” W
Approx Weight with Carry Strap: 7 lbs.
